Why Cheap Coatings Fail Here
Two shortcuts cause almost every failed floor in Louisiana: acid-etching instead of grinding, and skipping moisture testing. Both leave a coating that looks fine for a few months and then bubbles, hazes, or peels at the edges. We do neither — we grind mechanically and we test every slab, so the bond is real.
It also means being honest about materials. A DIY epoxy kit is cheap, but on a humid Gulf Coast slab it is usually the most expensive floor you can buy, because you pay again to redo it. We would rather do it once, correctly, with a system that carries a real warranty.
